Our take on the SKYROVER S1 Combo 4K Camera Drone

The SKYROVER S1 Combo is a sub-250g folding camera drone with a 4K camera, a 2.4 GHz controller and a claimed 7.4 mi operating distance. Its headline claim is 120 minutes of flying time, which in practice comes from swappable batteries rather than a single charge. At $230 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it sits well below the $359–$389 range seen since then, so the current price is the lowest it has been.

Best forBeginners who want a lightweight drone that avoids registration in many countrieTravelers who want a compact folding 4K camera droneBuyers who want long total flight time from spare batteriesCasual aerial photo and video shooters on a budget
Pros
  • Under 250g, so it falls in the lightest regulatory class in the US and EU
  • 4K camera on a gimbal-free stabilized mount
  • Claimed 7.4 mi control range with 2.4 GHz link
  • Combo kit typically includes extra batteries and a carry case
  • Folds small for packing
Cons
  • 120 minutes is total across batteries, not per flight; expect roughly 25–30 minutes per battery
  • No obstacle avoidance at this price
  • 7.4 mi range is a lab figure; real-world range is far shorter and line-of-sight rules apply
  • Small sensor and electronic stabilization limit low-light footage
  • Only 10 ratings, so the 4.9 score is thin evidence

Questions and answers

Is the SKYROVER S1 worth it at $230?
At $230 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it is well under the $359–$389 it has sold for recently, which makes it a strong value for a beginner 4K drone. Check that the eBay listing includes the combo extras, since kit contents vary by seller.
Does 120 minutes mean one flight?
No. That figure is total flight time across the batteries included in the combo. A single battery typically gives around 25–30 minutes.
Do I need to register it?
In the US, drones under 250g used recreationally generally do not need FAA registration, and the S1 is marketed as a mini. Rules differ by country, so check local requirements.
How far can it really fly?
The 7.4 mi figure is a maximum control-link claim under ideal conditions. Real range is much shorter, and in most places you must keep the drone in sight, which limits distance well before that.
Does it have obstacle avoidance?
No. At this price the S1 relies on GPS positioning and return-to-home rather than sensors that steer around obstacles, so fly with clear space.
When is it cheapest?
The lowest price seen since November 3, 2026 is $230 at eBay, against a high of $389. Prices on this model have moved a lot, so it is worth checking the price history before buying.
