Is the Sleepy's Slumber Medium good for a dorm room?

Twin XL is the standard dorm size, and the 11.5-inch height fits most lofted dorm frames. Medium firmness works for most students, though heavier sleepers may want more support.

How does it compare with an all-foam mattress?

Pocket springs give more bounce and airflow and isolate motion better than a basic foam block. Foam-only beds tend to feel softer and sleep warmer.

What size sheets does it need?

Twin XL sheets. The 11.5-inch profile fits standard twin XL fitted sheets, but deep-pocket sheets are safer if you add a thick topper.

Is $469.99 a good price?

It is the only new price found, at Mattress Firm as of November 7, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to compare against. Check whether a foundation or box spring is included before buying.

Does it need a box spring?

Pocket-spring mattresses work on a box spring, slatted frame or adjustable base. A solid platform also works, but check the frame's weight rating for a twin XL.
