Is the KLLOQUE smart door knob worth $39.99?

At $39.99 it is one of the cheapest ways to add fingerprint and code entry to an interior door. Expect basic build quality and Bluetooth-only app control at that price. It suits a bedroom or rental, not a front door that needs a rated deadbolt.

Does it work with Wi-Fi or only Bluetooth?

The app connects over Bluetooth within range. For remote Wi-Fi control and unlocking away from home, you need a separate gateway, sold separately. Without one, remote access and guest codes set from off-site will not work.

What batteries does it use and how do I get in if they die?

It takes 4 AAA batteries. If they run out, the USB-C emergency port on the outside powers the knob so you can unlock it, and the physical key still works.

It fits standard US single-bore doors, the kind with a round knob hole and no deadbolt. It is not a replacement for a deadbolt and will not fit doors drilled for a deadbolt only. Installation is listed at about 15 minutes with a screwdriver.

How many fingerprints and codes can I store?

It stores up to 20 fingerprints and 20 keypad codes, plus cards. That is enough for a family or a small short-term rental. You can add and revoke guest access from the app.

When is the best time to buy it?

Only one store lists a new price, $39.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, so there is no recent range to time a drop against. Watch for bundle discounts on the Wi-Fi gateway if you need remote access.
