Is the Dreo 717S worth it at $96.99?

At $96.99 at Newegg.com as of November 3, 2026, it is a lot of humidifier for the money: 8L tank, warm and cool mist, and app control. It suits a large room, but check the leak reports if you want a low-maintenance unit.

How long does the 8L tank really last?

Dreo rates it at up to 80 hours, which assumes low output. At the 550 ml/h maximum you get roughly 14 to 15 hours, and owners say the 80-hour figure is optimistic on high.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?

Yes, it supports voice control through the Dreo app. Some owners report Alexa pairing works at first and then stops responding, so the app is the more reliable control.

How big a room will it humidify?

Dreo rates it for up to 600 sq. ft., helped by the 40-inch mist height that spreads moisture higher into the room. In open-plan spaces, expect it to work best with doors closed.

What comes in the box?

The humidifier, user manual, quick start guide, cleaning guide, cleaning brush and three aroma pads, two pre-installed. There is no remote control.

Its best new price is $96.99 at Newegg.com as of November 3, 2026, against five stores listing it. Humidifiers usually drop in price outside the winter heating season.
