Our take on the Softback Mushroom Pleated Lamp Shade, 5" Top, 9" Bottom, 7" Slant, Champagne

This is a softback pleated lamp shade in a mushroom silhouette, sized 5 inches across the top, 9 inches across the bottom and 7 inches on the slant. The champagne fabric and tight pleating give a warm, slightly formal look that suits table lamps and smaller floor lamps. It is a replacement shade, so it fits only lamps whose harp and socket match those dimensions. No current price was provided, so check the store listing for the latest figure.

Questions and answers

Will this shade fit my lamp?
It fits lamps with a 5-inch top opening and a 9-inch bottom, using a standard spider and harp. Measure your existing shade and harp before ordering. A lamp with a different fitting will need an adapter or a different shade.
What kind of bulb works with it?
Any standard bulb that fits your lamp's socket works, but a warm white bulb keeps the champagne fabric looking warm. Avoid bulbs that run very hot and sit close to the fabric.
Is it a hardback or softback shade?
It is a softback shade, meaning the fabric is stretched over a wire frame without a rigid inner liner. That makes it lighter and less expensive, but easier to dent.
How do I clean a pleated fabric shade?
Dust it regularly with a soft brush or vacuum brush attachment on low suction. Do not wash it; spot cleaning can leave water marks on pleated fabric.
Is this shade worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you need a warm, pleated replacement shade in this exact size. Compare the price against similar 9-inch pleated shades before buying.
