Our take on the Solar Lights Outdoor 5000lm 7000K Motion Sensor 5 Heads Solar Security Wall Light

A five-head solar security wall light rated 5000 lm at a cold 6500-7000K, with a 270-degree beam and a 16 ft motion detection range. It runs on a 5.5V solar panel and 1.8W LED heads, so it charges by day and switches on when motion is detected. At $19.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end for a multi-head solar floodlight. Buyers should treat the 5000 lm claim as peak output on a full charge, not a sustained figure.

Best forRenters who can't run wiring to a shed or garage wallLighting a driveway, gate or back door where power is hard to reachBudget buyers who want a multi-head floodlight under $25Homeowners adding a secondary motion light rather than primary security
Pros
  • Five adjustable heads spread light across a wide 270-degree area
  • No wiring or electrician needed; mounts on any exterior wall
  • Motion sensor triggers light only when someone is near
  • Cold white 7000K output reads bright and alerting
  • $19.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026 is cheap for five heads
Cons
  • Real-world brightness falls well short of the 5000 lm claim, especially after dark days
  • 16 ft detection range is short for a driveway or large yard
  • 1.8W draw means long recharge times and dim output in winter or cloudy stretches
  • 7000K light is harsh and glary; some find it unpleasant near doors
  • Plastic housing and 1.52 lb weight suggest a light build

Questions and answers

Is 5000 lm realistic for this light?
No. A solar panel this size and a 1.8W LED load cannot sustain 5000 lm. Expect a bright burst on a full charge that dims as the battery drains, closer to a few hundred lumens in practice.
How long does it stay on after motion?
Most units in this class hold for 20-30 seconds after the sensor clears. Check the manual for the exact setting, since modes vary between always-on dim and full-on motion.
Will it work in winter or on cloudy days?
It will run, but expect shorter runtime and dimmer output. Place the panel where it gets direct sun for most of the day and accept that several grey days in a row will leave it weak.
What's in the box?
Typically the light unit with five heads, the separate solar panel, mounting screws and anchors, and a short cable between panel and light. A drill and screwdriver are needed.
Is it worth $19.99?
At $19.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-risk buy for a shed, gate or back wall. Don't expect it to replace a wired floodlight for real security.
Can it be mounted away from the solar panel?
Yes, the panel connects by cable, so you can put the light in shade and the panel in sun. Keep the cable run short to avoid voltage drop.
Where is the Solar Lights Outdoor 5000lm 7000K Motion Sensor 5 Heads Solar Security Wall Light cheapest?
At Walmart, for $19.99, as of our latest check.
