Is $52.57 a good price for 16 solar path lights?

That works out to about $3.29 per light, which is low for stake lights with a dusk-to-dawn sensor. Only one store lists them new as of November 4, 2026, so compare against other multipacks before buying.

Do these need direct sunlight to work?

Yes. The panel charges only from sun, so a shaded path or a north-facing yard will give short, dim runtimes. Place them where the top gets several hours of direct light.

Can they handle rain?

They are IP44 rated, which means splash resistance, not full water immersion. They handle normal rain but should not sit in puddles or be hosed down directly.

Do they turn on automatically?

Yes. A built-in photocell switches them on at dusk and off at dawn, with no timer or remote. There is no motion sensor, so they run at the same brightness all night.

The 16-pack includes 16 light heads with stakes and the solar panels built in. No wiring, tools or separate batteries are needed for setup.

When is the price lowest?

Solar path lights usually drop in late fall and winter, outside gardening season. With only one new listing as of November 4, 2026, watch for that store's markdowns rather than expecting a broad price war.

Our take on the SOLPEX Solar Lights Outdoor (16-Pack)

The SOLPEX Solar Lights Outdoor is a 16-pack of 15-inch black ground-stake path lights with LED bulbs and a built-in photocell that turns them on at dusk and off at dawn. They need no wiring or batteries to swap, so they suit lining a walkway or driveway cheaply. The best new price is $52.57 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists them new, so there is little price competition to shop around.
