Our take on the Songmics Home Queen Bed Frame with Upholstered Headboard, Metal Bed Frame Queen Size with Footboard, Cappuccino Beige

This is a queen-size platform-style bed frame from Songmics with an upholstered headboard and a matching footboard in cappuccino beige. It uses a metal frame under the upholstery, so it supports a mattress without a box spring. The frame measures about 60.6 inches wide and 82.8 inches long, which fits a standard queen mattress. It ships flat and requires assembly.

Questions and answers

Does this bed frame need a box spring?
No. The metal frame is designed as a platform, so a queen mattress sits directly on it. A box spring would only add height.
What mattress size fits it?
It takes a standard queen mattress, about 60 by 80 inches. The frame itself is roughly 60.6 inches wide and 82.8 inches long, leaving a small margin around the mattress.
How hard is assembly?
Assembly is required and involves bolting the metal frame together and attaching the upholstered headboard and footboard. Two people make it faster, and most owners finish in about an hour.
Is the headboard tall enough to lean against?
The upholstered headboard is padded for sitting up in bed, but it is a mid-height headboard rather than a tall one. Check the listed height against your mattress thickness if you want extra back support.
Can it be taken apart for moving?
Yes. It is built from bolted metal sections, so it can be disassembled and reassembled. Keep the hardware bag and instructions for the next move.
