Questions and answers

Is the Sony BRAVIA 7 II XR79 worth $1,298?
It is a strong 50-inch LED TV with good processing and HDMI 2.1, but $1,298 at ShopSimon as of November 5, 2026 is near its recent high. It is easier to justify if you value Sony processing and gaming features over raw brightness.
How does it compare with Mini-LED TVs at the same price?
Mini-LED sets at this price usually hit higher peak brightness and show less blooming. The BRAVIA 7 II counters with better upscaling, motion handling and Google TV polish.
Does it support 4K/120 gaming?

What is in the box?
The TV, a stand, a remote, batteries and a power cable. A wall mount is not included.
Is 50 inches big enough for a living room?
At about 6 to 9 feet from the screen, 50 inches is comfortable. In a larger room or beyond 9 feet, a 55- or 65-inch model gives a more immersive picture.
When is it likely to be cheapest?
Sony TVs typically drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and end-of-model clearance. At $1,298 it is near its recent high, so waiting for a sale is reasonable.
