Is the Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 7 worth it?

It suits shoppers who want clear TV sound and Atmos decoding from one bar without rear speakers. If deep bass or true surround matters, budget for a subwoofer or consider a bar with a bundled one.

Does it come with a subwoofer?

No. The Bar 7 is a 2-channel bar on its own, so bass comes from its built-in drivers. A separate Sony subwoofer can be added if you want more low end.

Does it support Dolby Atmos?

Yes, Dolby Atmos is supported. With only two channels, height effects are virtual rather than produced by up-firing drivers.

How does it connect to a TV?

It offers HDMI, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. HDMI is the simplest route for TV audio, and wireless streaming covers music from phones and the network.

When is the best time to buy it?

The $619.99 at PC Richard & Son as of November 5, 2026 is at the low end of its recent range across 10 stores. Holiday sales are the usual window for deeper discounts on Sony soundbars.
