Is the Stamina 704 worth it?

At $259 it is a low-cost way to add low-impact cardio at home. Expect a lighter, simpler machine than a gym elliptical, with basic resistance and a small console.

Does it need to be plugged in?

No. It is manual and cordless, so you can put it in any room without an outlet nearby.

How many resistance levels does it have?

Eight magnetic resistance levels. The range is fine for light to moderate workouts but limited for hard intervals.

What does the display show?

Time, heart rate and calories. It does not show distance or pace.

How much space does it take up?

It is a compact home elliptical, smaller than full-size gym models. Check the listed dimensions against your room before buying.

When is the best time to buy?

Only one new price is listed, $259 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026. Watch for holiday sales, when home fitness gear usually drops.

Our take on the Stamina Elliptical Trainer 704

The Stamina Elliptical Trainer 704 is a compact, manually powered elliptical with magnetic resistance and eight resistance levels. It runs without a power cord, so you can place it anywhere, and its small console shows time, heart rate and calories. At $259 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
