Is the Stihl BGA 60 worth it?

It is a good fit if you want a light, quiet blower for quick cleanups and already own or plan to own Stihl AK tools. If you need long run times or heavy-duty clearing, a backpack or gas blower makes more sense.

How long does the battery last?

Stihl rates run time at up to 16 minutes with the included AK 30 5 Ah battery. Expect less in boost mode and more at lower speeds.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

Yes. The kit includes the AK 30 36 V battery and a charger, plus a Smart Connector for tracking performance in the Stihl app.

Can it vacuum or mulch leaves?

No. The BGA 60 is a blower only, with no vacuum or mulching capability.

Does it work with other Stihl batteries?

It uses the 36 V AK system, so AK batteries from other Stihl AK tools fit. Larger AK packs add run time but also weight.

When is the price lowest?

Cordless outdoor tools often drop during spring and fall promotions and around major sales events. Compare the current price with its recent range before buying.

Our take on the Stihl BGA 60 Cordless Blower

The Stihl BGA 60 is a handheld 36 V cordless leaf blower in Stihl's AK battery system. It moves up to 459 cfm at 154 mph, has a variable-speed trigger and a boost mode, and weighs about 5 lbs with the included AK 30 5 Ah battery and charger. Run time is short: up to 16 minutes on the AK 30, so it suits quick cleanups rather than long fall sessions.
