Questions and answers

Is this set worth $202?
It is a professional set with hardened W1-7 steel and oak handles, so the price reflects materials and finish. At $202 it is at the top of its recent range, so compare the other new listing before buying.
Do the carbon steel blades rust?
Yes, W1-7 carbon steel will rust if left damp. Wipe and oil the blades after each session, and keep them in the wooden case.
Is this set suitable for a beginner?
Stryi labels it professional. Beginners usually do better with a cheaper starter set while they learn sharpening and knife control.
What comes in the box?
Three carving knives with oak handles and a wooden storage case. No sharpening stone or strop is listed.
How do I sharpen these knives?
The 60-62 HRC blades take a keen edge on waterstones, then a strop. Avoid pull-through sharpeners, which can chip hard carbon steel.
When is the price lowest?
With only two stores listing it new, discounts are rare. Watch both listings around holiday sales rather than expecting frequent drops.
Where is the Stryi Profi Wood Carving Knives Set of 3 in Wooden Case cheapest?
At Wood carving tools STRYI, for $202.00, as of our latest check.
