SVBONY SV503 102mm f/7 ED Doublet Refractor Telescope OTA

The SVBONY SV503 102mm f/7 ED Doublet Refractor OTA combines a 102mm aperture with S-FPL51 extra-low dispersion glass to deliver high-contrast images with minimal chromatic aberration. Its 714mm focal length creates a versatile platform for both imaging and visual use, capable of resolving details down to 1.17 arc-seconds. With a light gathering power 212 times that of the human eye, it reaches a limiting magnitude of 12.1.

S-FPL51 ED Optics: A 102mm f/7 Air-Spaced Doublet

At the heart of the SV503 is an air-spaced doublet objective featuring an S-FPL51 ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass element. This design significantly reduces chromatic aberration, or "false color," which is critical for producing sharp, high-contrast views of bright objects like Jupiter's cloud bands or the lunar terminator. The moderate f/7 focal ratio provides a balance between a wide field of view for large nebulae and the magnification needed for planetary detail.
