Our take on the Sweet Jojo Designs Pearlescent American Mahjong Tile Set

A complete American mahjong set from Sweet Jojo Designs with pearlescent-finish tiles, built for four players. It is a decorative home set aimed at casual and social play rather than tournament use. The best new price is $299.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper alternative to compare against right now.

Questions and answers

Is $299.99 a good price for this set?
It is the only new price listed, $299.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026. Without a second store listing there is no lower new price to compare it to, so judge it against what you would pay for a comparable pearlescent set.
Is this set good enough for serious mahjong players?
It is aimed at casual and social play. Players who want tournament-standard tiles and racks usually look at established mahjong specialists instead.
How many people can play with it?
Four, which is the standard American mahjong table. It is listed for adults.
What comes in the box?
The listing describes a complete American mahjong tile set but does not itemize the racks, dice or carrying case. Check the retailer's contents list before buying if those matter to you.
Does the pearlescent finish wear off?
There is no independent testing on this set's finish. Treat it as a decorative surface and store the tiles in a case to limit scuffs.
Where is the Sweet Jojo Designs Pearlescent American Mahjong Tile Set cheapest?
At Target, for $299.99, as of our latest check.
