Our take on the Tabu Compact Washer and Dryer Combo Set 19lbs Washer with 2.6 Cu.ft. Dryer

The Tabu Compact Washer and Dryer Set pairs a 19 lb full-automatic washer with a separate 2.6 cu. ft. dryer, both in white and grey. It is aimed at apartments, condos and small laundry rooms where a full-size pair won't fit. The washer tub is stainless steel. Owner ratings are weak: 2.5 out of 5 from 34 ratings, so check the return policy and warranty before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Tabu compact washer and dryer set worth it?
Only if space is the deciding factor. The 2.5 out of 5 rating from 34 ratings is low, so weigh it against a stacked full-size pair or a vented compact dryer from a major brand.
How big is the dryer compared with the washer?
The dryer is 2.6 cu. ft. and the washer handles 19 lbs. The dryer drum is the tighter limit, so expect to dry in smaller loads than you wash.
Does the dryer need venting?
Check the listing for the venting requirement before you buy. Compact dryers come in vented and ventless versions, and the install differs.
Can I wash and dry at the same time?
Yes. Because these are two separate machines, you can run a wash load and a dry load together, unlike an all-in-one combo unit.
What size space does the set need?
Measure your laundry closet for both units side by side or stacked, plus clearance for hoses and the door swing. The set is compact but still needs two footprints.
When is the price lowest?
Compact appliance sets tend to drop during major sales events and at the end of model runs. Ask our agent to check the price history before you buy.
What do buyers say about the Tabu Compact Washer and Dryer Combo Set 19lbs Washer with 2.6 Cu.ft. Dryer?
