Is the Takeya Kids bottle really leakproof?

Yes. The folding straw lid seals shut, and owners report no leaks in backpacks when the straw is folded down.

How long does it keep water cold?

The double-wall vacuum insulation keeps water cold all day. Ice usually lasts several hours, depending on how full the bottle is and the outside temperature.

Is it dishwasher safe?

The bottle body is easy to hand wash, and the lid and straw should be rinsed and air dried. Check the manufacturer's care instructions for dishwasher guidance on the lid parts.

What is included with the bottle?

You get the 16-ounce stainless-steel bottle, the straw lid and the removable bumper. The bottle is covered by Takeya's limited lifetime warranty.

Is $22.39 a good price?

It is the best new price among the three stores selling it, at Kohl's as of November 7, 2026. Takeya bottles often sell near this range, so it is a fair price rather than a deep discount.

Is this bottle good for a 4-year-old?

It works for preschoolers who can use a straw, but the 16-ounce size and straw lid suit ages roughly 3 to 8 best. Older kids may want a larger bottle.
