Is the TCL P8K worth buying?

If you want the biggest screen for the money, yes. At $1,753.15 at Distritech as of October 29, 2026, it costs far less than most 98-inch TVs. Expect good color and size, not OLED-level black levels.

How does it compare with TCL's mini-LED models?

Mini-LED sets like TCL's QM series have many more dimming zones and better contrast. The P8K is a standard LED backlight, so it is a size-and-price pick rather than a picture-quality pick.

Will a 98-inch TV fit in my room?

Check the width, about 85 inches for the panel alone, plus stand or mount clearance. Measure doorways and stairs before delivery; a set this size often needs two people and careful handling.

Typically the TV, a stand with hardware, a remote and a power cable. A wall mount is not included, and a 98-inch set needs a heavy-duty mount rated for its weight.

When is the best time to buy it?

Large TVs usually drop around Black Friday and before the Super Bowl. The only price seen so far is $1,753.15 at Distritech as of October 29, 2026, so watch for holiday discounts below that.

Our take on the TCL P8K QLED 4K Ultra HD smart TV

The TCL P8K is a 98-inch QLED 4K smart TV aimed at buyers who want a very large screen for a living room or media room. Its flat LED panel uses quantum-dot color, and the set is built around streaming apps and 4K sources. The lowest price on record is $1,753.15 at Distritech as of October 29, 2026, and that is also the only price seen so far, so there is no lower recent range to compare against.
