Is the TCL 98P8K worth it?

If you want the biggest screen per dollar, yes. It undercuts premium 98-inch sets by a wide margin, but expect average upscaling and basic sound.

The listing shows a 7680 x 4320 panel resolution but also lists HDTV format as 4K. Confirm the exact panel resolution with the seller before buying if 8K matters to you.

What is the refresh rate for gaming?

TCL markets this class of set with a 120 Hz panel, ALLM and low input lag, which suits PS5 and Xbox Series X at 4K120.

How far should I sit from a 98-inch TV?

About 2.5 to 3.5 m for mixed viewing, and closer for a cinema feel. The screen is roughly 2.2 m wide, so measure your wall first.

Does it come with a stand and wall mount?

Most TCL sets in this size include a tabletop stand but not a wall mount. A 98-inch set needs a heavy-duty mount rated well above the TV's weight.

Large TCL TVs see the deepest discounts during festive sales and major retail events. Track the price history and buy when it drops near its recent low.
