Is the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 AMD worth it?

Yes for business buyers who value the keyboard, ports, and three-year Premier Support. Casual users can find cheaper consumer laptops with sharper screens, but few match the T14's durability and service terms.

How does it compare with the Intel version?

The AMD model typically runs cooler and offers better multi-core efficiency for office work, while the Intel version can edge ahead in some single-thread tasks. Both share the same chassis, ports, and display options.

How long does the battery last?

The 60Wh battery generally covers a full workday of office tasks, roughly 8 to 10 hours, and charges over USB-C with the included 65W adapter. Heavy video calls or bright-screen use will cut that noticeably.

Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?

Storage is user-replaceable via the M.2 SSD slot, but memory is soldered on most T14 Gen 7 AMD configurations, so buy the 16GB or 32GB you need up front.

The laptop, a 65W USB-C power adapter, and documentation. A stylus and docking station are not included.

Our take on the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 AMD 14in Laptop

The ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 AMD is Lenovo's 14-inch business laptop built around the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 250, a 3.3GHz eight-core chip with a built-in NPU for local AI work. It pairs a 1920x1200 non-touch display with 16GB of DDR5-5600, a 60Wh battery, a backlit keyboard, and a 5MP IR camera with privacy shutter. Business-grade extras include Windows 11 Pro, RJ-45 Ethernet, a Nano-SIM slot, and three years of Premier Support. It is a workhorse, not a thin-and-light, and its price sits in the mid-to-upper part of the business-laptop range rather than at a bargain low.
