Our take on the Three Posts Transitional Upholstered Armchair with Nail Head Trim

The Three Posts Transitional Upholstered Armchair is a compact accent chair with a solid and manufactured wood frame, foam cushions, twill upholstery and nail head trim along the arms. It measures 27.5 inches wide, 28 inches deep and 33.5 inches tall, weighs about 34 pounds and holds up to 300 pounds. It does not recline, rock, glide or swivel, so it is a stationary seat for a bedroom corner, living room or entry. The best new price is $269.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, and it is the only store pricing it new, so there is no lower competing price to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is this armchair worth $269.99?
At $269.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, it is a reasonable price for an upholstered accent chair with a wood frame and nail head trim. It makes sense if you want a compact stationary chair, not a recliner.
How does it compare with a recliner or glider?
It does neither. The chair is fixed, with no recline, glide, rock or swivel, so choose a recliner or glider if you want motion.
Will it fit in a small bedroom?
Yes. At 27.5 inches wide and 28 inches deep, it needs about 2.5 feet of wall space plus room to sit. Check that the 33.5-inch height clears any window sill.
What is the weight limit?
The maximum weight capacity is 300 lb, which is high for a chair this size.
What is included in the box?
The chair ships unassembled with its legs and hardware. Assembly is limited to attaching the legs, based on owner reports.
When is it cheapest?
Wayfair is the only store listing it new at $269.99 as of November 3, 2026, so watch for Wayfair sitewide furniture sales and holiday events for a lower price.
Where is the Three Posts Transitional Upholstered Armchair with Nail Head Trim cheapest?
