Is this daybed worth it?

For a guest room or kid's room on a budget, yes. It gives you seating and a twin bed in one footprint. If you need a heavy-duty daily sleeper, a sturdier frame is a better spend.

Does it come with a mattress?

No. It is the frame only, so you need a standard twin mattress. A twin mattress up to about 8 inches thick sits best inside the frame.

What size mattress fits?

A standard twin mattress, 38 by 75 inches. A full or queen will not fit.

How hard is assembly?

It is a flat-pack build with tools and instructions included. Most people finish in an hour or two, but reviewers often mention unclear steps and needing a second person.

Can it be used as a sofa?

Yes. The poster back and sides let it work as seating with a few pillows. It sits lower than a standard sofa, so taller adults may find it less comfortable for long sitting.

Metal daybeds tend to drop around back-to-school and major holiday sales. Check the price history before buying so you know whether the current price is near its low.

Our take on the Three Posts Twin Iron Daybed

The Three Posts Twin Iron Daybed is a metal-framed daybed with a poster-style back and sides, sized for a twin mattress. It works as a sofa by day and a bed by night, which makes it a fit for guest rooms, kids' rooms and small apartments. The iron frame gives it a lighter look than a wood daybed and leaves space underneath for storage. It is a budget-tier piece, so expect a basic frame rather than a heavy heirloom build.
