Our take on the Timechee 57.2ft Large Wooden Outdoor Cat House

The Timechee is a large wooden outdoor cat enclosure: about 110.6 in long, 74.4 in wide and 74 in tall, with roughly 57.2 sq ft of floor space. It is built as a walk-in style run rather than a small shelter, so it suits multiple cats or a mix of cats and small pets that need room to move. The frame is wood in a grey finish. As of November 4, 2026, the best new price is $419.49 at Overstock, the only store listing it new, so there is no meaningful price history to compare against yet.

Pros
  • Large 57.2 sq ft footprint gives cats real room to move
  • About 6 ft 2 in tall, so most adults can stand inside
  • Wood frame with a grey finish blends into a yard
  • Works as a shared run for multiple cats or cats plus small pets
  • Walk-in design makes cleaning and feeding easier than a small hutch
Cons
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin
  • Heavy and bulky; assembly and placement take two people
  • Wood needs periodic sealing or staining to survive weather
  • No listed cover, so shade and rain protection may need adding
  • Not a heated or insulated shelter on its own

Questions and answers

Is the Timechee outdoor cat house worth $419.49?
For the size, it is a fair price: 57.2 sq ft of wooden enclosure for $419.49 at Overstock as of November 4, 2026. Comparable large wooden runs often cost more, but this is the only new listing, so check it against local options before buying.
How big is it, really?
About 110.6 in long, 74.4 in wide and 74 in tall, or roughly 9 ft 2 in by 6 ft 2 in with a 6 ft 2 in ceiling. Measure your space and gate access before ordering.
Can I keep more than one cat in it?
Yes. The floor area suits several cats, and the height allows shelves or perches to add vertical space. Give each cat its own litter area and resting spot.
Does it come with a roof or cover?
The listing describes a wooden frame and does not state a roof covering. Plan on adding a solid or tarp roof for rain and shade, and check the box contents with the store before you buy.
How do I keep the wood from rotting?
Seal or stain the wood before assembly and reapply yearly. Set it on a level, drained surface such as pavers or gravel so the base does not sit in wet ground.
When is it cheapest?
There is only one new listing, so there is no price history to time a drop. Watch for store-wide sales at Overstock and compare against used or local listings.
Where is the Timechee 57.2ft Large Wooden Outdoor Cat House cheapest?
At Overstock, for $419.49, as of our latest check.
