Is the Titan trap bar worth it over a straight bar?

If lower-back strain or grip is your limiter on deadlifts, a trap bar is the easier buy. It also covers shrugs and carries a straight bar handles less comfortably. A straight bar is still better for bench and Olympic lifts.

How much weight can it actually hold?

Titan rates it at 800 lb total, including the 35 lb bar. That is well beyond most home lifters. Check your plates and floor before loading near the limit.

Will my plates fit the sleeves?

Yes, if they are Olympic plates with 2-inch holes. The loadable sleeves are 10 inches long, so thick bumper plates fill them faster than thin iron plates.

What is the difference between the raised and flat handles?

The raised handles shorten the pull, which helps if you have limited mobility or are learning the movement. The flat handles give a longer range of motion and a harder lift. Both have 1.2mm knurling.

What comes in the box?

One hex trap bar and two spring collars. Plates are not included.

When is the price lowest?

Only one store lists it new at $154.39 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no recent range to time. Watch for Titan's own sales and holiday promotions.
