Our take on the TITANKIT PRO 22 ft. Reach Multi-Position Extension Aluminum Ladder

The TITANKIT PRO is a 22 ft aluminum multi-position extension ladder that folds into several shapes, including an A-frame stepladder and a straight extension. It is rated for 300 lb, which is above the typical 250 lb duty rating on many consumer ladders. Aluminum keeps it light enough for one person to move, but 22 ft of reach means it is long and awkward to store. No current price or price history was provided, so check the latest store prices before buying.

Pros
  • 300 lb load capacity beats most consumer ladders
  • Multi-position design replaces a stepladder and an extension ladder
  • Aluminum frame keeps weight down for its size
  • Folds for storage and fits in a truck bed
Cons
  • 22 ft of reach makes it heavy and hard to handle alone
  • Long folded length needs real storage space
  • Hinges and locks add failure points versus a fixed ladder
  • Aluminum conducts electricity, so keep it away from power lines

Questions and answers

Is a 22 ft multi-position ladder worth it over a separate stepladder and extension ladder?
If you regularly work at two-story height and also need an A-frame indoors, one multi-position ladder saves money and space. If you mostly work at 8 to 10 ft, a lighter stepladder is easier to carry.
How much reach does the 22 ft model actually give me?
Plan on roughly 19 to 20 ft of usable working height when set as an extension, because you should not stand on the top rungs. That covers most two-story gutters and low roof edges.
Can one person set it up?
Yes, but it takes care. A 22 ft aluminum multi-position ladder is long and awkward; extend and lock each section before climbing and keep the base on firm, level ground.
What does the 300 lb rating cover?
It covers the user plus tools and materials on the ladder. Stay under the total and keep your body between the rails.
Where is the best price for the TITANKIT PRO?
Prices vary by store and season. Compare current listings on Deal.ai and check the price history to see whether the current price is above or below its usual range.
Where is the TITANKIT PRO 22 ft. Reach Multi-Position Extension Aluminum Ladder cheapest?
