Our take on the Little Giant Velocity Do-It-All 22 ft. Aluminum Ladder

The Little Giant Velocity is a multi-position aluminum ladder that converts between an A-frame stepladder, an extension ladder, a 90-degree wall ladder and a scaffold base. The 22 ft model reaches about 22 ft as an extension ladder and folds to roughly 6 ft for storage, with built-in wheels for rolling it around. It carries a 300 lb load rating. The best new price is $333.82 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so comparison shopping is limited.

Pros
  • Replaces a stepladder, extension ladder and scaffold in one
  • Folds to about 6 ft and rolls on built-in wheels
  • 300 lb load rating covers most users plus tools
  • Aluminum frame keeps it manageable for one person to move
  • Multiple locking positions suit stairs, walls and uneven ground
Cons
  • Heavy and awkward to carry fully extended
  • Hinges and locks need care and periodic checking
  • Costs more than a basic fiberglass stepladder
  • 22 ft reach still falls short of two-story rooflines
  • Only one new listing at this price, so stock is thin

Questions and answers

Is the Little Giant Velocity 22 ft worth it?
If you need both a tall extension ladder and a stepladder, one Velocity can replace both and store in about 6 ft of space. At $333.82 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it costs more than a single-purpose ladder but less than buying two.
How tall is it when folded?
It folds to roughly 6 ft, which fits most garages and closets. The built-in wheels let you tilt and roll it instead of carrying it.
What can I do with the 22 ft model?
It works as an A-frame stepladder, an extension ladder reaching about 22 ft, a 90-degree ladder against a wall, and a scaffold base with planks. That covers gutters, painting, tree work and ceiling jobs.
Does it hold 300 lb?
Yes, the ladder is rated for 300 lb, including the user and tools. That meets the Type IA duty rating for heavy household and light commercial use.
Is it good for stairs and uneven ground?
Yes. The adjustable legs and multiple hinge positions let it sit level on stairs and slopes, which is a common reason people buy it over a fixed stepladder.
When is the price lowest?
Multi-position ladders tend to drop during spring home-improvement sales and around the holidays. With only one new listing at $333.82 as of November 5, 2026, watch for restocks and compare used listings too.
