Our take on the Typhon Terror XIX Storm Mini Excavator

The Typhon Terror XIX is a 4,000 lb mini excavator built around a Kubota D902 diesel engine, sold with a canopy and retractable tracks. Its boom swing lets the arm work offset from the machine's centerline, which helps in tight trenches and along walls. Retractable tracks narrow the machine for gateways and widen it for stability. The best new price is $13,899 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, with four stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Typhon Terror XIX worth $13,899?
At $13,899 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is priced in line with other 4,000 lb diesel mini excavators. The Kubota D902 engine and boom swing are the main reasons to pick it.
What can the boom swing do?
Boom swing lets the arm pivot left and right of the machine's centerline. That lets you dig along a wall or a fence line without repositioning the excavator.
How wide is it with the retractable tracks?
Retractable tracks let you narrow the undercarriage to fit gateways and widen it for digging stability. Check the exact narrowed and widened widths with the seller before buying.
What engine does it use?
It runs a Kubota D902 diesel engine. Kubota parts and service are widely available, which keeps long-term maintenance simpler than with an off-brand engine.
What comes in the box?
The package includes the excavator with its canopy and retractable tracks. Buckets and other attachments are usually sold separately, so confirm what the listing includes.
Can I tow it with a half-ton pickup?
At 4,000 lbs plus the weight of a trailer, plan on a properly rated trailer and tow vehicle. Check your truck's tow rating before you commit.
