Our take on the Vivitar Dual Screen Waterproof Camera with 16x Digital Zoom

The Vivitar Dual Screen Waterproof Camera is a point-and-shoot built for selfies and wet outings, with a front-facing second screen, a 2.0-inch rear display and a body rated waterproof to 3 meters (10 feet). It claims 64 megapixels, 4K video, 16x digital zoom and electronic stabilization, all on a 1/1.7 sensor. The best new price is $62.00 at Poshmark as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new; that is a low entry price for a waterproof dual-screen camera, though the specs are inflated for the sensor size.

Pros
  • Front screen makes selfies and framing easy
  • Waterproof to 10 feet without a case
  • 4K video recording
  • USB-C charging with a rechargeable Li-ion battery
  • Time-lapse, face detection and macro modes
Cons
  • 64MP and 4K claims are far beyond what a 1/1.7 sensor delivers
  • 16x zoom is digital only, so images soften quickly
  • Electronic stabilization only; shaky handheld video
  • Small 2.0-inch rear screen
  • Manual focus on a point-and-shoot is fiddly

What reviewers say

Owner feedback is mixed, averaging 3.4 out of 5 from 35 ratings. Buyers like the selfie screen and waterproof body for casual use, but many find image quality below what the megapixel and 4K numbers suggest.

Pros
  • Easy selfie framing with the front screen
  • Survives splashes and shallow dives
  • Simple enough for kids to use
Cons
  • Photos look soft and noisy, especially in low light

Questions and answers

Is the 64MP resolution real?
No. The sensor is a small 1/1.7 type, so 64MP is interpolated. Expect detail closer to a basic point-and-shoot, not a high-end camera.
How deep can it go underwater?
Vivitar rates it to 3 meters, or about 10 feet. That covers snorkeling and pool use, not scuba diving.
Is the 16x zoom optical?
No, it is digital zoom. Image quality drops as you zoom in, so keep it near the wide end for cleaner shots.
What comes in the box?
Expect the camera, a rechargeable Li-ion battery and a USB-C charging cable. Check the listing for a strap or memory card, which are often sold separately.
Is it worth $62?
At $62.00 at Poshmark as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get a waterproof selfie camera. If photo quality matters, a used action camera or phone in a waterproof case will do better.
When is it cheapest?
It sits in the budget tier already. Watch for holiday sales and back-to-school discounts, when point-and-shoots like this typically drop a few dollars.
Where is the Vivitar Dual Screen Waterproof Camera with 16x Digital Zoom cheapest?
At Poshmark, for $62.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Vivitar Dual Screen Waterproof Camera with 16x Digital Zoom?

Where can I buy the Vivitar Dual Screen Waterproof Camera with 16x Digital Zoom?
