Our take on the Olympus TG-5

The Olympus Tough TG-5 is a rugged compact camera built for water, dust and drops, with a 12MP back-illuminated 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and a 25-100mm f/2.0-4.9 zoom lens. It shoots 4K video, is waterproof to 15 m, and adds a field sensor and microscope modes that suit outdoor and underwater shooting. It is a 2017 model, so it competes with newer rugged compacts and action cameras rather than with phones. Pricing varies widely by condition and seller; check the current listing against recent sold prices before buying.
