Our take on the Wayfair Sleep 10"/12" Firm Innerspring Mattress

The Wayfair Sleep Firm Innerspring Mattress is a budget boxed mattress with steel coils and a firm feel, sold in 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch thicknesses. This King is the 12 inch version, which is the thickest and the one most likely to suit adults and heavier sleepers. It is designed to work on adjustable beds. The lowest recent price was $204.99 on November 1, against a high of $269.99 on October 30, so the current best price sits at the bottom of its short recent range.

Pros

  • Ships compressed in a box and sets up quickly
  • 12 inch height gives more cushioning than the 6 or 8 inch versions

Cons
  • Some units arrive with corners that stay compressed or sunken
  • At least one buyer received the wrong thickness

Questions and answers

Is the Wayfair Sleep firm innerspring mattress worth it?
For a low-cost King in a guest or kids' room, yes. It gives firm coil support at a price well below most brand-name mattresses. Expect a basic build rather than premium materials.
Should I get the 10 inch or the 12 inch?
The 12 inch adds cushioning and height, which suits adults and heavier sleepers better. The 10 inch is fine for lighter sleepers and guest beds. Check the label on delivery, since at least one buyer received the wrong thickness.
Is it good for side sleepers?
It is a firm innerspring with little pressure relief, so strict side sleepers may feel shoulder and hip pressure. Back and stomach sleepers usually do better on it.
Does it work on an adjustable bed?
Yes. Wayfair lists it as suitable for adjustable beds, and the coil build bends with the frame. A rigid foundation or slatted base is still needed underneath.
What comes in the box?
The mattress arrives compressed and rolled in a single box. It expands over roughly a day, though some owners report corners that stay compressed longer.
When is the price lowest?
The lowest recent daily price was $204.99 on November 1, compared with $269.99 on October 30. Wayfair mattress prices move with sales, so watch for drops around holiday events.
