Is the WEN DF360iX worth it?

At $521.00 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get dual-fuel capability in a 49-pound package. It suits light backup and camping, not whole-home power.

What can 2,900 watts run?

It can carry a fridge, lights, a router and a fan at once, or a small window AC with careful load management. Surge loads like a well pump or compressor are brief only.

How long does it run on propane?

WEN rates it at about 14 hours at half load on a 20-pound tank. Gasoline gives up to 5 hours at half load from the 1.5-gallon tank.

Does it have electric start?

No. It uses a manual recoil pull start on the 149cc engine.

WEN lists 65 decibels at quarter load. Expect more noise as load rises, so keep it away from windows and tents.

Generator prices often dip around spring storm-season sales and Black Friday. Check the price history before buying.
