Is the Harmony sectional good for everyday sitting?

It suits lounging and movie nights more than upright sitting. The seat is rated 1 out of 5 for firmness, so people who want back support should look at a firmer line.

Can the chaise be moved to the other side?

No. This is a left chaise configuration, and the two pieces attach with visible side connectors. A right chaise version is sold separately.

What is included in the box?

You get the sofa piece, the chaise piece, lumbar pillows and throw pillows. Legs are removable and ship with the frame.

How does genuine leather compare with the vegan leather option?

Genuine top-grain leather is made in Cambodia and shows natural variation in color and texture. Vegan leather is assembled in the US, has no seams, and costs less.

How much space does it need?

It is 117 inches long, so plan for a room that can take a piece that size plus clearance for the chaise. Measure doorways and hallways before delivery.

West Elm runs seasonal furniture sales, and floor models and clearance colors are often discounted. Watch the price history for drops around holiday sales.

Our take on the West Elm Harmony Modular Left Chaise Sectional

The Harmony Modular Left Chaise Sectional is West Elm's softest seating line, built as two pieces that join with visible side connectors. It has a kiln-dried hardwood frame, fiber-wrapped foam seat cushions rated 1 out of 5 for firmness, and feather-down back cushions. It comes in top-grain leather or vegan leather, and the genuine leather version is made in Cambodia while vegan leather is assembled in the US. It is contract-grade, so it is built for commercial use as well as home use.

What reviewers say

Owners of the Harmony line generally praise how plush and deep it feels and how well the leather holds up. The most common complaints are that the soft foam loses shape over time and that the loose back cushions need frequent fluffing.

Pros

Deep seats that work for lounging
Leather that ages well with care
Solid, heavy frame

Cons
