Is the ecoGen10000 safe for electronics?

Yes. It produces less than 3% total harmonic distortion, which is within the range most electronics makers recommend for sensitive devices.

Can it power a house through a transfer switch?

Yes. The 14-50R 50A and L14-30R 30A outlets are transfer-switch ready, and 7,600 running watts covers many essential circuits.

Westinghouse rates it at 79 dB. That is loud enough to bother close neighbors, so place it away from windows and doors.

Can I buy it in California?

No. It is not CARB-compliant, so it cannot be sold or registered for use in California.

How long does it run on a tank?

The 5.28-gallon tank gives up to 12 hours at lighter loads, but full-load consumption is about 1.17 gallons per hour, so expect far less under heavy draw.

The best new price was $1,149 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026. Generator prices often dip ahead of storm season and during fall clearance.
