Is the Whall Ultra good for a whole room of carpet?

Not really. The 3.5-inch cleaning path is far narrower than full-size carpet cleaners, so covering a large room takes many passes. It is better suited to spots, stairs and small rugs.

How long is the cord, and will I need an extension cord?

The cord is 13.12 feet. In most rooms that will not reach a far wall outlet, so plan on a grounded extension cord.

What does the missing Nrtl listing mean?

Nrtl is a safety certification mark. This model is listed as not having it, so confirm the plug and voltage suit your home and check the seller's return policy.

How much solution does the tank hold?

The detergent tank holds 0.42 gallons, about 1.6 liters. That is enough for several spot-cleaning sessions before a refill.

Does it work on upholstery and stairs?

The narrow head and corded power make it handy for stairs and tight edges. Check the manual before using it on upholstery, since fabric types vary.

Our take on the Whall Ultra Carpet Cleaner Machine

The Whall Ultra is a corded electric carpet cleaner with a narrow 3.5-inch cleaning path, built for spot work on rugs and stairs rather than whole-room cleaning. It carries a 0.42-gallon detergent tank, a 13.12-foot cord and a 4.2-amp motor on 120 volts. The narrow head and short cord limit how fast you can cover a large carpet, so it suits targeted stain and pet-mess cleanup. It has no Nrtl listing certification, so check local safety expectations before buying.
