Questions and answers

Is this food suitable for all senior dogs?
It is formulated for senior dogs of most breed sizes. Very small or very large seniors and dogs with medical conditions should have the portion and formula checked with a vet.
Is it truly grain free?
Yes. The recipe contains no corn, wheat or other grains. Check the bag for the current ingredient list before relying on it for a sensitive dog.
How much should I feed my dog?
Follow the feeding chart on the bag, scaled to your dog's weight, and split it across meals. Senior dogs often need fewer calories, so adjust with your vet.
How does it compare with adult WholeHearted chicken recipes?
The senior formula targets older dogs with added joint, skin and immunity support and typically lower calorie density. Adult formulas suit younger, more active dogs.
When is the price lowest?
The best new price listed is $13.99 at Petco.com as of November 6, 2026. With only one store pricing it new, watch for repeat sales rather than expecting cross-store competition.
What is in the bag?
One bag of dry kibble. Bag size and exact weight are printed on the packaging; confirm the size before ordering.
Where is the WholeHearted Grain Free Senior Chicken Recipe Dry Dog Food cheapest?
At Petco.com, for $13.99, as of our latest check.
