Is the Lantine executive desk worth it?

At $549 at Wayfair as of November 3, it is a fair price for a desk this wide with a double pedestal base. It makes sense if you want a large, formal surface and already have storage elsewhere. If you need drawers, a desk with built-in storage is a better fit.

Does it have any drawers or storage?

No. The listing lists no storage features, so the pedestals are structural, not drawer units. Plan on a separate filing cabinet or shelf for paperwork.

How big is the desk and will it fit my office?

The top is 70.9 inches wide, so allow at least 6 feet of wall space plus room to pull out a chair. Measure your doorway and stairwell before ordering, because the box is long and heavy.

How hard is assembly?

Adult assembly is required and some tools are provided. Expect to spend an hour or more, and have a second person help flip the assembled desk upright. The pedestal base has the most parts.

What is the surface made of?

The surface is wood, typically a wood veneer over engineered wood at this price. It wipes clean but can scratch, so use a desk pad under heavy items.

When is the price lowest?

The recent range has run from about $520 to $650, and $549 at Wayfair as of November 3 sits near the low end. Holiday sales and back-to-school events are the usual times to watch for a drop.

Our take on the Lantine 70.9" Executive Desk with Double Pedestal

The Lantine 70.9" Executive Desk with Double Pedestal is a large wood-veneer office desk built for a dedicated home office or a corner office. At roughly 71 inches wide, it gives you room for two monitors, a laptop and paperwork, and the double pedestal base gives it a formal, traditional look. It has no drawers or storage, so it is purely a work surface. The latest best price is $549 at Wayfair as of November 3, which is near the low end of its recent range of about $520 to $650.
