Is the Xikar Ashtray worth $93.99?

It is a large, lidded metal ashtray that holds six cigars, so the price buys size and build rather than a basic dish. If you only smoke alone, a smaller ashtray costs far less. For a patio table or lounge, the lid and capacity justify it.

It measures 10.25 inches across and 2.17 inches tall, with a removable 10-inch lid. That makes it one of the larger tabletop ashtrays, so check your table space.

Does the lid come off completely?

Yes. The chrome wheel lid is removable, not hinged, so you lift it off to empty ash and set it aside. There is no attached hinge to wear out.

How many cigars does it hold?

Six. The rests are spaced around the round bowl, so several smokers can use it at once.

The interior has a gloss coating for easy cleaning. Wipe out ash and residue with a damp cloth; the metal body should not go in a dishwasher.

What finishes are available?

Black and chrome, in glossy and matte finishes. The lid is chrome on the listed model.
