Questions and answers

Which ashtray is better for outdoor use?
The Xikar is better for windy areas because its metal lid keeps ash contained. However, the Club Macanudo is better for poolside or patio use where a drop might occur, as melamine is shatterproof.
Is the Xikar worth the extra $65?
Yes, if you value a premium metal build and need to accommodate up to six smokers at once. The lid also offers a cleaner look by hiding debris between cleanings.
Can the Club Macanudo ashtray melt?
No, melamine is a heat-resistant material designed to withstand cigar embers without melting or scorching under normal use.
How do you clean the Xikar lid?
The chrome wheel lid is removable, allowing you to dump the reservoir and wipe the gloss-coated interior with a damp cloth.
