Our take on the Yahhu 6 in. Mini Cordless Chainsaw Set

The Yahhu is a 6-inch battery-powered mini chainsaw for light limb trimming and small firewood cuts. It runs on a 21 V battery (included), weighs about 2.5 lb, and has tool-less chain tensioning so you can adjust the 65 Mn steel chain without a wrench. At $29.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a battery-included mini chainsaw costs; only one store lists it new, so there is no price competition to compare against.

Pros
  • Battery and charger-style kit included at a low price
  • Light at about 2.5 lb, easy to use one-handed
  • Tool-less chain tensioning saves time on adjustments
  • Rated to cut 6-inch branches in roughly 5 to 15 seconds
  • Safety goggles, hand guard and baffle included
Cons
  • 6-inch bar limits it to small limbs, not felling or logs
  • 25 A / 550 W rating on a 21 V pack is optimistic marketing math
  • Only one store sells it new, so no price comparison or easy price matching
  • 3.8 of 5 from 1,100 ratings suggests mixed owner satisfaction
  • No stated runtime per charge or spare battery option

What reviewers say

Owner feedback on this class of budget mini chainsaw is mixed: people like the light weight and low price for small yard jobs, but complain about battery life, chain stretch and weak cutting on anything near the rated size.

Pros
  • Light and easy to handle for small cuts
  • Good value for occasional trimming
  • Quick setup out of the box
Cons
  • Battery drains fast under load
  • Chain needs frequent retensioning and dulls quickly
  • Struggles with harder wood near 6 inches

Questions and answers

Is the Yahhu mini chainsaw worth it?
For light trimming of branches up to a few inches, yes at $29.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026. It is not a substitute for a full-size saw on logs or hard wood.
How long does the battery last?
Yahhu does not publish a runtime, and owners of similar 21 V mini saws report short runs under continuous cutting. Expect to recharge often on bigger jobs.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
The set includes a 21 V battery, and the listing describes it as a with-battery kit. Confirm the charger is in the box before ordering.
Can it cut 6-inch branches?
The 6-inch bar is rated for branches up to 6 inches, but cutting speed drops sharply in hard or green wood. Most owners use it on 1 to 3-inch limbs.
When is the best time to buy it?
With only one store listing it new, discounts are unlikely outside seasonal sales. The current $29.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026 is already a budget price.
Where is the Yahhu 6 in. Mini Cordless Chainsaw Set cheapest?
At Walmart, for $29.99, as of our latest check.
