Does the bundle include the Wi-Fi module?

Yes. The bundle pairs the Assure Lock 2 keypad deadbolt with the Yale Wi-Fi module, so remote control works without a separate hub.

Do I need a hub for Google Home or Alexa?

No. The included Wi-Fi module connects the lock directly to your network, and it links to Google Home and Amazon Alexa.

You can use the keypad code, the Yale app over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, voice commands, or the backup key.

Is it worth it over the base Assure Lock 2?

Only if you want remote access and voice control. The base lock is cheaper, but you would add the Wi-Fi module separately for the same features.

What batteries does it use?

It runs on AA alkaline batteries. Expect shorter life with the Wi-Fi module active than with Bluetooth only.

Best Buy lists it at $274.99 as of November 8, 2026, and it is the only new price listed. Watch for holiday sales, when Yale locks typically drop.

Our take on the Yale Assure Lock 2 Bundle

The Yale Assure Lock 2 Bundle is a smart keypad deadbolt with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and voice control through Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Google Home. It unlocks with a code or the app, and the bundle includes the Wi-Fi module that many Yale locks sell separately. At $274.99 at Best Buy as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no lower recent price to compare against.
