The Yamaha Stage Custom Birch is a five-piece all-birch shell pack: 20x17 bass drum, 12x8 rack tom, 14x13 floor tom, 14x5.5 snare and a second mounted tom, with a double tom arm included. Birch shells give it a punchy, focused attack with a strong midrange, and the line is a long-standing favorite for its build quality at a mid-level price. Cymbals and hardware are not included, so budget for those separately. At $929.99 at Guitar Center as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the four stores that list it new.
