Is the Zinus 6 inch mattress good for adults?

It suits lighter adults and occasional sleepers. At 6 inches there is little foam under you, so heavier adults usually do better with the 8- or 10-inch version.

How long does it take to expand?

Most of the expansion happens within 24 to 48 hours. Give it the full 72 hours before judging firmness, especially in a cool room.

Does it fit a standard twin frame?

Yes. The Twin is 75 inches long and 38 inches wide, matching standard twin frames, bunk beds and trundles.

Is the cover washable?

The cover has a zipper and can be removed, but Zinus recommends spot cleaning rather than machine washing to protect the foam.

Is it good for a bunk bed?

Yes. The 6-inch height keeps kids safer on top bunks and leaves room for rails, and the low weight makes it easy to lift.

Boxed mattresses like this one tend to dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. The current $96.99 at Newegg.com as of November 4, 2026 is already near the low end of its range.

Our take on the Zinus 6 Inch Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress, Twin

The Zinus 6 Inch Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress is a low-profile foam mattress built for compact spaces: bunk beds, trundle beds, day beds and RV bunks. The 6-inch profile pairs a memory foam comfort layer with a green tea and charcoal-infused base foam, and the cover is OEKO-TEX certified. The Twin is 75 inches long, so it fits standard twin frames and many bunk setups. At $96.99 at Newegg.com as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, making it one of the cheaper ways to outfit a guest or kids' bed.
