Questions and answers
- When does Baratza run sales?
- Baratza discounts most often around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with occasional spring promotions. Outside those windows, the Encore ESP typically sells at list price at authorized dealers, and the page currently shows no active deals.
- Where is the Encore ESP cheapest?
- Baratza sets a minimum advertised price, so authorized dealers usually sit within a few dollars of each other. Buying from a non-authorized seller can void the warranty, which matters more than a small saving on a grinder with wear parts.
- What is the difference between the Encore ESP models?
- The Encore ESP and Encore ESP Pro use the same 40mm conical steel burrs and 40-step adjustment; the Pro adds a single-dose hopper and a metal dosing cup. Listings with different names on this page are the same grinder sold under varying titles, so check the model number before buying.
- Does the Encore ESP work for both espresso and drip?
- Yes. It has 20 steps fine-tuned for espresso and 20 coarser steps for filter brewing, which is the main change from the original Encore. It is a stepped grinder, so espresso dialing moves in fixed increments rather than stepless.
- What is Baratza's return and warranty policy?
- Baratza covers the Encore ESP with a one-year warranty on parts and labor, and it sells replacement burrs, rings and gears directly. Returns depend on the store you buy from, so confirm that store's window before ordering.
