Questions and answers
- When does Dimplex run sales?
- Dimplex discounts cluster around fall and winter heating season, plus Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Retailer markdowns on fireboxes also appear in spring, when fireplace demand drops. Check the deal list on this page for current markdowns.
- Where is Dimplex cheapest?
- Big-box and online retailers usually undercut specialty fireplace shops on the Revillusion and Multi-Fire lines. Compare the same model number across stores, since Dimplex sells similar fireboxes in different trim and wattage versions. This page tracks each store's price for the same product.
- What are Dimplex's best-known products?
- The Revillusion firebox is its signature line, using a mirrored back panel and LED flames to mimic a real log fire. The IgniteXL Bold is the linear built-in option, sized for wall recesses. The Multi-Fire XHD is the budget electric firebox.
- Does the Revillusion need venting or a chimney?
- No. The Revillusion is a built-in electric firebox, so it needs only a framed opening and a standard outlet, with no venting or gas line. It produces no real flame or heat from combustion, so clearance rules are simpler than for wood or gas.
- What is Dimplex's return policy?
- Returns are handled by the retailer you buy from, not by Dimplex directly, so the window and restocking terms depend on the store. Keep the original packaging, since fireboxes are bulky and often need freight return. Confirm the policy before ordering.
