Which is better for a home gym on a budget?

The Results Series. It does the same job with the same weight range and costs $399.00 at BowFlex versus $429.99 for the 552i at playitagainsports.com as of November 7, 2026.

Do they have the same weight range?

Yes. Both go from 5 to 52.5 lbs per dumbbell across 15 settings, and both are sold as a pair.

BowFlex states a 2-year parts warranty on the Results Series. The 552i listing gives no warranty term, so the Results Series is the safer bet on paper.

Is the 552i worth the extra $30?

Only if you want its free training app or the original model specifically. Otherwise the Results Series gives you the same weights for less.

The Results Series is listed as compatible with the BowFlex SelectTech stand, sold separately. The 552i listing does not mention stand compatibility.

How much space do they take?

Each Results Series dumbbell is 16.9 by 8.3 by 9 inches. Both models are bulkier than fixed dumbbells, so measure your rack or floor space first.
