Questions and answers

Which is better for a 3-year-old?

The Crayola Color Wonder Magic Light Brush, which is designed for ages 3 and up. The Warmies is safe for all ages but is a comfort item, not an activity.

Which lasts longer?

The Warmies is a durable plush that should last years with wipe-clean care. The Crayola set is used up as the paper and paints run out, so it needs refills.

Is the Warmies worth the extra money?

At $22.49 at Ben Franklin as of November 3, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a weighted, lavender-scented plush. Whether it is worth more than the Crayola set depends on whether you want a gift or an activity.

Can the Warmies be washed?

No. The cover is not removable and the filling is millet and lavender, so it is wipe clean only.

Does the Crayola brush need batteries?

Yes. The brush lights up to show the color, so it needs batteries to work.

Which is the better gift?

The Warmies suits a wider range of ages and has the higher rating. The Crayola set is the better pick for a child who specifically enjoys painting.
