Which is better for a kitchen with limited floor space?

The Ninestars. It is rectangular and 11.22 inches wide, so it slides into narrow gaps where the round EKO will not fit.

Is the EKO worth about $38 more?

If you care about a stainless steel body, a quiet lid and a countdown timer, yes. If you just want hands-free opening at 13.2 gallons, the Ninestars does the same job for less.

Do both hold the same amount?

Yes. Both are rated 13.2 gallons, or 50 liters, in one compartment.

Which one lasts longer?

The EKO's stainless steel body should hold up better to dents and scratches than the Ninestars' plastic. Lid sensors and motors are the usual failure point on either can.

Do I need special bags for the Ninestars?

It is designed for Nine Stars NSTB-13-30 bags, and the removable ring holds them in place. Standard 13-gallon bags also work but may not sit as tight.

Which has better owner feedback?

The EKO has 4.8 out of 5 from 197 Google Shopping ratings. No rating data is given for the Ninestars, so there is nothing to compare directly.
