Is this set worth $15.99?

Yes if you need basic knives on a tight budget. At $15.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it costs less than most single chef's knives, but don't expect forged quality.

How does it compare with a forged knife set?

Forged sets from brands like Wüsthof or Zwilling hold an edge longer and feel heavier in hand, but they cost many times more. This set suits light use, not daily heavy chopping.

Are the knives dishwasher safe?

Hand washing is the safer choice. Dishwasher heat and detergent can dull edges and wear the black finish, so wash and dry by hand.

What is included in the 7-piece set?

A typical Gibson seven-piece set includes a chef's knife, bread knife, slicer, utility knife, paring knife, kitchen shears and a storage block or holder. Check the listing for the exact contents.

Budget knife sets like this drop around Black Friday and back-to-school sales. The current $15.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026 is already near the bottom of its range.
