Questions and answers
- Is the Avenco 12-inch queen hybrid worth it?
- At $174.24 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheapest 12-inch queen hybrids you can buy. It makes sense for a guest room or a tight budget; if you need long-term durability, spend more.
- How firm is a medium hybrid mattress?
- Medium usually means a middle feel that most back and stomach sleepers find supportive and many side sleepers find acceptable. Lightweight side sleepers may want something softer.
- Does it need a box spring?
- No. A hybrid with a coil base works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base. A box spring adds height but is not required.
- How long does it take to expand after unboxing?
- Compressed mattresses typically reach most of their height within 24 hours and fully expand over 48 to 72 hours. Sleep on it after the first day if you need to.
- What is included with the mattress?
- The mattress ships rolled and boxed. A foundation, frame and bedding are not included.
- When is the price lowest?
- Mattress prices drop around major sales such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday. The current $174.24 at Target is already near the bottom of the queen hybrid market.
