Is the Titan Plus worth it over a standard mattress?

If you are a heavier sleeper or have flattened softer mattresses, the dual-coil build is the reason to pay more. Lighter sleepers may do fine with a cheaper all-foam bed.

How firm is it really?

It is medium-firm: supportive under the hips and shoulders with a pillow-top layer on top. Side sleepers who like a plush feel should look elsewhere.

Does it need a special foundation?

It works on a slatted bed frame, platform base or box spring. Avoid a solid, unvented base, which traps heat and moisture under a coil mattress.

Is the Twin good for an adult?

A Twin fits one adult at 38 inches wide, which is tight for anyone who moves a lot. Couples need a Full or Queen.

Our take on the Brooklyn Bedding Titan Plus Mattress Twin

The Titan Plus is Brooklyn Bedding's heavy-duty mattress, built for heavier sleepers and sold here in a Twin. It uses a dual-coil system: a base layer of TitanCore coils topped with micro-wrapped coils, plus a pillow-top feel and a medium-firm surface with zoned support through the middle. The cooling cover and reinforced edge are aimed at people who run hot or sit on the edge of the bed. At $582.40 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
